BALEAP TNE SIG Committee Nominations

BALEAP TNE SIG committee nominations

Due to two of our members moving on from their TNE posts, the BALEAP TNE SIG is looking for two new committee members. The roles are for Secretary and Treasurer, with the duties described below. However, despite these role descriptions, we do tend as a committee to work together and support each other whenever necessary – so you wouldn’t be left to get on with things by yourself!

Many thanks to Susan Finlay and Fatima Halday for doing such a fantastic job on the committee – it’s been great working with you!

If you are interested in joining the committee, please send your nomination to by 15 April 2023.  The nomination should consist of a short statement (max 150 words) about yourself and how you would hope to contribute to the TNE SIG through the role you are interested in.

The list of nominees (with personal statement) will be circulated to all members via email when nominations have closed. If there is more than one nomination for a role, we will hold an election and ask the members to vote.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Joanne Shiel, one of our Convenors, gets the Principal Fellowship of the HEA

The HEA has now awarded 150,163 fellowships worldwide, with a total of 1,448 Principal Fellows.

“I was delighted to achieve PFHEA status recently. One key element of my application was my impact in the international TNE setting and my influence on both my home and our partner university, with feedback saying that the ‘work you have undertaken with the Leeds-SWJTU Joint School is deeply impressive’. The other aspect that Advance HE valued highly was the integration of EAP within the discipline and how I had championed this approach institutionally and internationally.”

“I hope that other colleagues will be encouraged by the high regard in which what we do on a daily basis is held by a body such as Advance HE.”
